FAPA is an alliance of faculty associations representing faculty of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage at accredited universities and academic institutions in the United States. It is a non-profit organization.
FAPA’s mission is to:
Promote open collaboration in education, scholarship, and professional development among faculty associations of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander heritage at accredited academic institutions or organizations in the United States.
Advocate for and safeguard academic freedom and legal rights of faculty of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander heritage at accredited academic institutions or organizations in the United States.
Support career advancement of faculty of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander heritage at accredited academic institutions or organizations in the United States.
Full membership of FAPA is open to all associations, councils, clubs, coalitions, or assemblies consisting of faculty of Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage affiliated with respective universities or academic institutions, as recognized employee groups or organizations.
